Similar to a strut brace, Monte Carlo bars were originally developed by Carroll Shelby. Designed to strengthen the inner wings and shock towers during hard cornering, reducing flex and improving handling.

These Scott Drake Monte Carlo bars are copied from the original design and feature thicker diameter tube, plus improved fender brackets. Scott Drake has stamped square holes in the top of each fender bracket to allow for the use of lower-profile carriage bolts. These year specific bars feature the correct cutouts in the brackets to ensure a perfect fit.
